Yogi Creative perform for Midsummer Festival Yogi’sOperations Director Andrew Marsh says “we carry out design contracts across a wide range of market sectors and across the UK, however the festival project is a particularly enjoyable one for us because of the the locality of the event, the challenge of incorporating a variety of events under one branded banner, and of course, the entertaining subject matter!” |

In an attempt to be as environmentally friendly as possible, particularly in view of the natural surroundings in which this festival is located, we are delighted to announce that we are once again operating a ticket-less booking system for this event in partnership with Ticketsource. When a booking is made, the booking name is automatically (electronically) placed on our front of house list for the appropriate performance, and an e-mail confirmation is automatically sent to the audience member to confirm all booking details. A unique reference number is issued for extra peace of mind if required. Entry to the performance is by booking name, which we automatically tally with the names on our list when the audience member arrives. |

For the first time, the Midsummer Festival will be taking their Gilbert & Sullivan production in-house this year, under the watchful and experienced eye of director Simon H. West.
Originally from Cardiff, Simon's interest in theatre led him to train as a professional Director, and he comes to the Midsummer Festival fresh from a six month period directing the pantomime season at London's Barbican Theatre. Festival Artistic Director John Manders says "In previous years, while we were growing the festival, we decided to keep our house productons manageable, producing just the Shakespeare and the schools and family productions ourselves. Concept Players kindly came in under our umbrella to perform the G & S for us. This year, however, we were ready to take it on ourselves. Keen to perform The Pirates of Penzance this year, the company were lucky enough to find that this coincided with Simon West being back in Cardiff. "The timing is just right for us, and Simon has attracted a range of fabulous 'voices' to our cast - we're very excited about the show!" says John. |
